Goodyear, AZ - Mrs. Toria Lynn Singleton, dedicated teacher, wife, mother, and sister, passed away peacefully March 14th. Toria was born March 11th, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio to Virginia Jewell Hamilton and George H. Hamilton who proceeded her in death. Toria was also proceeded in death by her sister, Tania Lynnette Hamilton. Mrs. Singleton moved to Arizona in 1978 after living abroad in Europe, the Middle East and all over the U.S.
Toria retired as an elementary school teacher after over 30 years. She taught in classrooms in Tempe, Avondale, Sierra Vista and Cashion. She received her B.A. in Elementary Education from ASU in 1980, her M.Ed in 1983, and M.Ed in Educational Administration in 2007. Toria is survived by her daughter Tabitha L. Singleton, and her brother George H. Hamilton Jr. Aunt Doris E. Shields, Nephew George H. Hamilton III, Andrew M. Hamilton, Tony J. Pedrego, Angel Castillo, nieces Tabitha T. Perkins, Sarah Castillo. Sister In Laws Miros Hamilton, Tina Hamilton and Penny Hamilton. Many goddaughters, cousins, and beloved students who she affectionately called her kids.
