Avondale, AZ - Ronald Raymond Ross of Avondale Arizona was born in Phoenix, Arizona August 8th 1949 and passed away peacefully at his home June 8th 2025, he was 75 years old.
He was a beloved member of the community and loved by his family.
Ron is survived by his brother Guadalupe Ross(Mary), his sons Ray Ross(Laura), Kyle Ross(Danielle), Jason Weaver(Stacy), Andrew Weaver(Heather), his daughters Angie Goddard(Mike), Melanie Weaver, 17 Grandchildren along with some Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by His Father Ray Rueben Ross, Mother Ann Liga Ross Carrick, brother Larry Ross and Wife Susan Ross.
Ron grew up in Avondale and Yuma, Arizona. He attended Kofa High School and graduated in 1967. In 1969, Ron was called by the United Stated Army, where served his country from May of 1969 until he was Honorably Discharged in December of 1971. After the Army, Ron became an insurance agent, where he achieved several accolades. He was also involved in numerous projects in the community. To note a few, he served on the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Committee, Tri-city West Chamber of Commerce, and the Billy Moore Days Committee. He was a member of the American Legion Post 61 in Avondale, where he had many titles, including Commander for 5yrs.
A Celebration of life will be held, on August 8th at 2:00pm at the American Legion Post 61, 35 N Dysart Road, Avondale, AZ 85323
