Ms Pamela Anne Richardson (Pam) Obituary

Tolleson, AZ - Pamela (Pam) Anne Petersen was born on December 28, 1953, in Monrovia, CA, and went to heaven on February 16, 2025, in Tolleson, AZ, at the age of 71. She always said she wanted to go out with a bang, but we think she meant fireworks, not a peaceful passing.

Middle daughter of Gloria Charlene Petersen (Lake) and Fred Calvin Petersen, Pam is survived by her sisters Kathy Beamis and Trish Taylor, her children Heather Scott, David Wiechens, Angela Hodges, Rebecca Noga, and Katie Carmody, and her grandchildren Jesse Scott, Wyatt Scott, Aubrey Hodges, Zachary Hodges, Aria Noga, and Nalani Noga. She always joked that she had enough family members to start her own sports team.

Graduating high school in Buckeye, Arizona, Pam loved swimming, volleyball, and softball. After high school, Pam moved across the US, from Washington State to New York State, returning to her home in Buckeye with her children in 1994. Pam was fiercely protective of her family and was active throughout all our lives. As the matriarch of the family, she was constantly bringing the family together and made all those around her feel welcome and at home. She was like the glue that held us all together, but way more fun and less sticky.

Pam retired from Palo Verde Nuclear facility in 2019, having proudly served the company for 25 years. In addition to her duties in Nuclear Records Management and Security, Pam was also a volunteer APS clown! She loved making those around her laugh, and she always said that laughter was the best medicine, except for actual medicine, which she also took regularly.

Elvis... oh boy, how she loved "The King"! Pam was a committed music lover, and you could nearly always find her listening to the Eagles, Hanson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or... The King. A major part of Pam's life was the outdoors. She loved bees and listening to birds. Outside, reading, at a campfire, and caring for her family was her happy place. She always said that nature was her therapy, and it was a lot cheaper than a therapist.

After retirement, Pam continued in her devotion to her family, spending so much time raising grandbabies. She wouldn't have missed any of the swimming, band concerts, or sporting events. She was like a super grandma, always there to cheer us on, even if she didn't always understand the rules of the game.

A celebration of life will be held on March 1st at 3 PM at her daughter's home in Litchfield Park. Come prepared to share your favorite funny stories about Pam, because she would have wanted us to remember her with laughter and joy.

We love and will miss you mamma.
