Springfield, Oregon - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Myrna Jean Delaney, a beloved wife, mother, and accomplished professional, who left us on January 30, 2025. A long-time resident of Litchfield Park, she was 82 years old and resided in Springfield, Oregon at the time of her death.

Born in January, 1943 to Sidney and Mary Wiltshire in Cleveland, Ohio, Myrna lived a full life. She was married to Thomas Michael Delaney for 50 years before his passing in 2015. The family moved to Litchfield Park in 1977, where Myrna raised two children with her husband. Always extremely proud of her children, Myrna instilled in them the values of compassion, hard work, and resilience. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering belief in their potential was always an inspiration to them.

Not only was Myrna a rock for her family, she also had an accomplished career. During her time in the West Valley, she was an executive secretary and a compliance administrator in local aerospace and defense firms (Goodyear Aerospace, Loral Defense Systems, and Lockheed Martin). Her ability to get things done and embrace new challenges made her a respected figure among her colleagues. Always trying to improve herself, she was an active member of Professional Secretaries International, even serving a term as President of the organization.

Myrna Jean Delaney leaves behind her children, Tom and Polly; four grandchildren, Delaney, Declan, Kyan, and Nina; and two brothers, Sidney and Neal. The family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to https://www.dementiasociety.org/donate
