Litchfield Park, Arizona - John Lewis Seitz, 88, of Litchfield Park, passed peacefully away on October 21, 2025, at his home.

He was born on March 21, 1937, to Milton and Marietta Seitz in Phoenix, Az

John started as a Plaster Journeyman and worked Construction until he began a partnership with his dad in Farming. He attended Cartwright Elementary and moved on to graduate from Tolleson High School in 1955. He served in the Air National Guard for two years.

Farming was his life; his first farm was on 51st Avenue and Buckeye Highway and then he moved out to the West Valley in 1971. He collected player pianos and restored them. He loved following ASU football, playing golf, bowling, traveling and camping with friends, road trips with grandchildren, riding around the farm in his golf cart counting cows, sitting on the patio in the porch swing with his Jack Daniels and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Charla Olson Seitz, his two sisters, Beverly Crane and Mary Mentzer, sister-in-law, Mitzi Olson Richter, brother-in-law Mike Pope, his two daughters, Laura Sylvan (Scott) and Pauletta Seitz, his grandchildren Shelby Beck (James), Brandi Seitz Sylvan, and Clayton Arseneau (Ciara). His great grandchildren, Cameron and Parker Beck and his devoted dog Dee.

Celebration of Life will be November 10, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bldg. A, 918 S Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, and St. Mary's Food Bank. Memorial pages have been set up for both in his name.
