Goodyear, AZ - Jo Ann Hindman Puyear is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Born on Sept. 26, 1935, she passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on Feb. 5, 2025, at 89-years-old.

Jo Ann grew up in Missouri, moved to Virginia in 1958 and lived her retired years in Arizona after 1993. She married her husband Don in 1957 and is survived by him, their children and children-in-law: Elizabeth (David) , Sarah (Hans), Amy (Jeff), and the memory of her son Ken (Donna); her grandchildren: Nathaniel, Ryan, Heather (Kirk), Ben, Gates, Ari and Ansley; her great-grandchildren: Jacob and Bridgette.

Jo Ann spent her working years as a Registered Nurse and was a vibrant artist working with paints, fabric, yarn, and with music. Jo Ann had a love for travel, her dogs and baking. She was known for the international community she built out of her home and the family that came from it: Priji, Akhil, Gayathri, and Maria, among others.

Her celebration of life is to be held March 8th at 11 am at Christ Community United Methodist Church in Avondale, where she was an active member of the congregation. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to her church or the Alzheimer's Association.
