Gallup, New York - James W. Farris, Jr., 72 of Gallup, New Mexico, passed away October 17, 2024. Jim was born to James Ward Farris and Louise Moorehead on August 12, 1952 in Beloit, Kansas. Jim grew up in Goodyear, AZ, and graduated Agua Fria High School. He served in the US Navy and was a proud Seabee.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Georgia Farris, two daughters, Tammy Hudgins, Katrina Marquez, two (2) grandchildren, brothers Robert Lee Farris and Guy Farris, sisters Vonnie Prescott and Peggy Walker. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Norma (Red) Calvin and Kathy Hope Ellis.
Jim's was a skilled master mechanic and shared his many talents with his family and friends. The hunt campsites will never by same but Jim's spirit will always be with us.
