Goodyear, AZ - "It's hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember." If you knew Henry, you were not a stranger you were a lifelong friend. Henry left everyone with a story to tell and a memory to keep. His love of life was spending time with his family, taking a motorcycle ride, playing with his English Bulldogs and being outside working in his garage or in his yard.
Born in Phoenix, AZ to Arthur and Jennie Martinez. He was raised in Goodyear and graduated from Agua Fria High School in 1979. He resided in Litchfi eld Park. Henry was Co-owner of Arturo's Mexican Restaurant and helped his sister Margie manage Loma Mexican Grille.
He is survived by his wife Valerie, Son Henry Martinez Jr, (Paige), Step-sons Angel Garcia (Joselyn), Andrew Garcia (Leeanna) and Alex Garcia, and sister, Margie Martinez-DeLeon (Richard). Grandchildren, Ava Gar-za, Mercades Garcia, Ayden Martinez, Evan Martinez, Castiel Garcia, Ezra Martinez, Levi Garcia and Gianna Garcia.
He was preceded on death by his daughter Phoenicia, father Arthur, mother Jennie, sister Sally and brother Michael.
Services will be Monday, April 28th, 2025. Rosary 10:00 am, Mass 10:30am, at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W Thomas Rd. Burial will be at a later date.
