Debbie Marie Seidler Obituary

Goodyear, AZ - Love, Service, Faith, and a dash of Sass. Debbie Marie Seidler would light up the room, whether it was with her kindness, joy, or her sparkly shoes and hats.

Debbie (Thilmony) was born in Valley City, ND on Feb. 9th, 1957 and was raised in Mandan, ND. She was the second of five children with four brothers. Her brothers were the first to teach her strength, practical jokes, and to give back quick witted responses.

At the age of 18, she met Bob Seidler at a SEARCH retreat, they bet on the Mandan/St. Mary's game, and Debbie ended up paying for their first date. They went and saw "You Light Up My Life," and from that day forward, Debbie continued to light up Bob's life. Forty-Five years later, they shared a life and grew a family with 2 daughters, a son-in-law, and 3 grandkids. She was a team mom, classroom aid, cheerleader, chauffeur, hairdresser, and family chef. Known for yelling at the top of Millennium's stands at soccer games 20 years ago.

Debbie worked 27 years as a Paraprofessional for the Pendergast School District in the ESS Department. Debbie would bring smiles to people's faces everyday, even forcefully when she wouldn't let students enter through the Kinder gate without giving her a smile.

All of who she was, was because of her faith and her church community. She told consistent stories about her guardian angel or how St. Anthony helped her find lost items. Debbie belonged to St. Thomas Aquinas, Avondale, for over 30 years.

On Sept. 26, 2024 she lost her battle to cancer. Her household will never be the same, missing her cooking, her wit, outbidding in pinochle, and having the TV on sports, especially soccer. Her family would like to thank those at City of Hope, Garden Lakes Elementary, friends and all the doctors, nurses, and staff who assisted with her care over the past 2 years.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and Jim Thilmony, and brother, Jimmy Thilmony. She is survived by her husband, Bob, daughters, Jamie Marie (Nicholas) Niles and Mary Catherine Seidler, her grandchildren, Wyatt, Raegan, and Payton Niles, her brothers, Steve (Becky) Thilmony, John (Deb) Thilmony, and Mike (Katrina) Thilmony, as all her nieces, nephews, in-laws, and students she viewed as family.

Debbie's funeral arrangements: Rosary, Tuesday, Oct. 8th at 6pm at Holy Cross Funeral Home, Avondale. Her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, Oct. 9th at 1pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Avondale.
