BUCKEYE, AZ - Christopher Guadalupe Cantu passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2025, in Buckeye, Arizona at the age of 54. His faith in God and our Lord Jesus Christ was strong.

Christopher was born in Phoenix, AZ in 1971. He grew up in Buckeye, Arizona where he attended Buckeye Elementary and Buckeye Union High School. After high school, his first job was at Schultz Homes. After that he worked in the cotton farming industry and constructing pallets for a tile company. Eventually, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and worked in landscaping, other odd jobs and also at Southwest Steel. The last year and one half of his life he split his time between Buckeye and Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Chris enjoyed the desert and outdoors. In his early years, he rode ATVs and enjoyed racing. Chris was an avid history buff of religion, warfare, ancient history and more recently, political. He spent many hours at the public libraries checking out books to read. He also watched documentaries.

Chris is survived by his sisters, Tammy Maassen (Kevin), Gerri Cantu (Mark Clay), brother Danny Cantu (Nichelle). Nieces Aura, Asia, Ayla and Anza Hopper and Cheree Cantu. Nephews Damian Cantu, Zackery and Dillon Castillo and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jeronimo Guadalupe (Lupe) Cantu, Zelva Dolores (Oliver) Cantu, his niece Nicole Suzanne Mason, nephew Anthony Michael Castillo.

A private service will be held with close family in attendance at a future date. The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this time.

Chris will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him.
